What is Yoga Therapy?
One-on-one yoga therapy sessions help you connect your mind, body, and spirit for whole health and wellness. Your yoga therapist will create a personalized plan that targets your health goals and takes into consideration your lifestyle and interests. Yoga may offer relief from common issues such as chronic pain, depression, anxiety, and insomnia. Specific conditions such as cancer, stroke recovery, and arthritis may also be addressed in your yoga therapy plan. Yoga therapy may include movement and/or postures, meditation, visualization, breathwork, and relaxation techniques. The process may mirror some elements from rehabilitation medicine and talk therapy, but yoga therapy stands on its own as a unique and powerful modality for transformative change.
Why Choose Private Yoga Therapy
My doctor or physical therapist told me to try “yoga.”
My regular yoga class or workout routine is hurting my body.
I am intimidated or nervous about going to a group yoga class.
I have a chronic physical condition like arthritis, sciatica, back pain, plantar fasciitis, etc.
I seek relief from stress, anxiety, depression, and/or insomnia.
I am seeking an individualized, holistic program that addresses not only my physical body but also my mental-emotional state.
I have a disability and/or illness and would like guidance on safe modifications to maintain health or improve recovery.
I am an older adult with multiple health issues and/or limited mobility and would like to maintain strength, flexibility, and balance.
I seek support from a caring professional as I navigate my changing body and improve quality of life after a stroke or cancer diagnosis/treatment/recovery.
